Hi chaps
Well the game against Teddington was a fast and tight game and the final score did not do justice to the effort we put in.
The sky was overcast and the weather dry BUT our top photo journalist Tony ( Iron man) was not happy as he was operating with No 2 camera with slower speed....left the battery charger for No 1 camera in Holland!!
However, we still have 20 good photos of the game and the après at the White Swan
You will see Big Steve making a fine jump in the lineout and we are not certain what happened after that as he had little protection when he came down to earth! However, we did have a good pack and outsides out and with a little more tuning in the lineout we should be there!!
You will see that Rupert has made a noticeable return and the back of his shorts are quite prominent....
Man of the Match went to Matt for a number of weeks constant effort....aging you will see from the photos the effort was rewarded.....spare a thought for John....on crutches Sat,in the PUB after falling down the stairs at home! Did he get his crutched back chaps?
The après game is well displayed with a shot of Chris, Mike ( Steel Man ) bianchi and basil.
Getting back to our game we played well but the opposition had a few ex first team centres and they really played havoc with constantly changing their running lines...it was not a case of missing the tackle but more of guessing which way they would run!
However, that said we MUST improve on the tackling and MUST improve the lineout play. The scrum half needs good ball otherwise nothing is going to happen. I will run a training session with the forwards re: lineout next Sat.
