Hi chaps
We have had a few disasters with gremlins on the network...hence the delay but lets get on with it!!
Good game against Grasshoppers but one that we should have won ...we all know it and although we played with great determination and commitment we did throw away a number of winning opportunities......
The match photos are good and show the determination we played with ...Stuart sums it up with his facial posing for Tony.....next week he is using a little more high lights.....Len on the burst making good inroads into the opppo...Steve out jumping and getting the ball in the lineout....and the photos once again show the commitment ...Matt about to make a tackle, John other wing made a fine try scoring saving tackle
Forwards played well but against a big Grasshopper side we had problems in second half...they were well drilled and started to get on top... we need to talk more in the looser maul...we have to talk the ball out...the scum half must tell the forwards in loose maul what is going on
Above all we must stop the oppo forming a driving maul...we can't stop it..the only chance we have is to throw John the prop in its path or a discreet trip ...touch of coarse rugby always helps out
Good game by all and Ross's run through the oppose to score a fantastic try under the post was great.
I have just had my first MATCH REPORT WIPED OUT BY THE COMPUTER SO MY APOLOGISE FOR THIS BRIEF ONE.
The photo report by Tony is again excellent and illustrates the game and our commitment
BUT take on board my comments because we are holding the ball just too long and if we are then tackled and go down we invariably loose it to the opposition forwards.
Also if you have clear run ahead of you and the ball under your arm ...don't;to stop just go for it....also support the ball player at all times ..get into gear quicker
It was good to see Peter being awarded the Man of the Match...a lot of hard work and commitment goes into Peter's game every Sat and goes unrecognised it was a truly well deserved award ..well done.
Also many thanks for getting my car out of the river....
How about the pub photos with Roy/
