Bulldogs 5- 20 Old Isleworthians

A very good sound game against a friendly Old Isleworthians side.

Due to computer and email problems I was off the air onThursday and my server and Outlook Express went down ...result ...problem with player availability!!

I thought we had 18 , normal number, but on this occassion it went wild and we only had 12 players...first time this has every happened and all due to this so called computer and this tech age we live in!!

Anyway back to the report:

Old I's lent us a player and we fielded 13 against 14 and had a very good first half and only conceded one entry but the effort and sprit was the usual Bulldog style...when you see the match photos you will see what I mean.....the camera does not lie and the commitment of players like Bull in the loose maul sums up the game.....no compromise and every effort being used.

Look at the welcome return of Alex and Mike (Steel man) Bianchi...see their penetrating moves and again look at those Bulldog expression.....we want to win seems to be the impression they give

Again Mac is working flat out getting the ball away , new star Jonathan who won the Man of the Match award worked hard at every level giving support and drive to the forwards, Steve jumped well in the lineout and Martin had a couple of good runs on the wing.

Mike ( Steel Man) Bianchi had some excellent runs and very nearly scored...look at the photos to see the determination....Roger at centre had a good sensible game with his usual moves and steady kicks.....with Alex at No 10 giving a steady hand onthe helm this gave Roger the extra room and time needed to make those score trying moves.

In the second half the opposition were joined by another player and we then had our work cut out with 13 against 15 BUT we only conceded two tries int his half and spent most of the time in opposition half.

Then the true Bulldog spirit came out and after a fair amount of passing and mauling we went over for our first try.....no one ever gives up in The Bulldogs and the actuality shots of Jack againg shows the game for us ...he was all over the park putting in tackle after tackle and with Matt putting in a high rate of work and kept the score down with his immense tacking.

That's about it chaps a good game wiht only 4 tries against us with one try scored with only 13 players against 15

Well done

Cheers
