Hi chaps
Tony takes about 100 photos every game for us and I think w eare unique in the area for a photo journalism report on every match... Some are also used by the local press in the rugby round up sections. From the 100 photos he edits the best ones for our weekly report and for the web site and press. And of course for our photo display at The White Swan
The photos really do describe the game far better than any match report can…there is action and pace and also fun in the team photos even down to the Man of the Match award and the candid shots in the bar after the game.
Let’s look at the game on Saturday
Conditions were good and the sun shone once again …not onus I am afraid. We had affair number of players off and Slugger Malcolm had injured his wrist playing mixed basketball on Friday night and that put our prop out for the day…how he did his wrist in I something he dose not want to talk about…..knickers in a twist?
Anyway we put out a side even though we hade two cry offs at 1 o’clock for very good reasons
Sodom had the same number of players so it was an even game but let’s take it from there and from kick off
Within the first 10 mins Jaimie and scored two tries and you will se his action photo where he is sidestepping and weaving through the opposition
The forwards had a good game and you can see Matt leading from the front chasing the ball through and then making a good pick up to drive through with Peter in support
Brad at centre took the game to the heart and took out the No 8 with Rupert in support
Line out play went well and you can see Gary looking good in the lineout
Roger at no 10 had a good service from Dave U at scrum half and there is a superb shot of a diving pass that put Roger away for his try!
A tough game with good tries from Jamie (2), Gus , Roger ans conversions
In the second half we just ran out of steam chasing fit young players who just seemed to have that extra pace over our players who played well and the score did not in anyway reflect the final score of 24 point to 41.
This week The Bulldogs are at home to Old Islewortians with a 12 30 K>O and then watching the Int in The White Swan
It is tough work keeping The Bulldogs on the go and the team photos bring home the importance of how to keep the side going!!
Gary was Man of The Match. And you can see Tony presenting the aware and also some of the après candid shots!!
Cheers
Colin/Tony
